Wet Behind the Ears

Over the weekend Lily Grace and Darby enjoyed water-park fun in their own backyard. Darby is an awesome sister.  First of all, she really has no idea that she is a dog and that she can't do everything Lily Grace can do but more importantly, she loves to have fun, especially when water is involved. They both had a GREAT time!  They each had their own pool (which only lasted so long before they were splashing together) along with a big spraying water ball and water table.  And what do you do when the sun gets hotter and you want to play some more?  Well your daddy puts a tent over the pool and puts the water table inside the pool as the water ball shoots through the tent.  That daddy!!!!
Those two had the best time and we ended with lunch outside.  It was the first dip of the summer and the start of many more giggle filled days to come.

Little Bookworm

A new library recently opened in our community.  I took Lily Grace this week and she was just beside herself.  She loves books and getting her own card with her name on it  just makes it even better.  After her second trip, she knows just what to do and looks absolutely adorable selecting and checking out books.  We must read the books at least 10 times each.  She is also quite fond of retelling the stories herself.  And as you can imagine, her daddy and I hang on her every word.
Feel free to call our little bookworm should you find yourself in search of a good book to read.

Zoo Fun

While the hot weather continues, so has the fun this Memorial Day weekend.  Today we visited the zoo for the first time this year.  It was a beautiful day and made even better by the company of friends.  Tim, Susan and Mia met us at the zoo where we caught the Sea Lion show and enjoyed the colorful butterfly exhibit.
Lily Grace and Mia had fun taking in the sights hand and hand.  Well, actually that would be sweaty palm and sweaty palm. (and red cheeks and wet hair stuck to the forehead)  Nonetheless, they had a great time.
What could be better than a trip to the zoo with friends?  A picnic of course.  We enjoyed a delicious picnic (and a few cool raindrops) in Overton Park.  Thanks for the great meal King family!!!!!!!!!!
Fun, Friends and Food- it's a great summer combination!
