Jesus Loves Me

We love to hear Lily Grace sing Jesus Loves Me.  I finally got her to sing it on camera.   Matt and I pray that she continue to grow to love the Lord with all her heart.

Swinging in Spring

We welcomed Spring on Friday.  The weather was beautiful and perfect for the construction of the new swing set.  Matt was outside by 6:00 am.  Lily Grace soon followed and was all to happy to try out each new feature as Matt completed it.  Matt has logged about 15 hours  on construction and with the exception of the Jacob's Ladder (the wrong beam was sent and we are awaiting the new one) it is completed.  

Lily Grace has played from sun up to sun down since Friday.  She even enjoyed a bowl of ice cream up in the tree house last night.  It's amazing the imagination and play this swing set has sparked.  Not only has her imagination been sparked, but "Super Lily" can perform swing tricks, while wrapped up in a cape no doubt.  While I gasp, Daddy laughs and joins in.  Thanks for all of your hard work daddy!  You did a great job!

Daddy's Helper

Now that Lily Grace is almost 3, (I can hardly believe that.) she is very much in to playing and climbing outside.  This year, Matt and I decided to get her a wood play system for the back yard. After much research, we finally decided on one.  We have talked with Lily Grace a great deal about it.  She has been so excited.  After what must have seemed like forever to her, the "big truck" finally delivered  it yesterday.  Well, it delivered all of the pieces.  

Daddy has decided to put it together himself, but not without a little help.  He and Lily Grace got new drills on Sunday after church for the job.  She is quite proud to be just like Daddy. They worked together to take down the old A-frame Matt built her when she was just 10 months old.  You can see (Matt asks that you look beyond the weeds in the picture.  That is his other project. Ha!) that she really dressed for the job with her work boots and gloves.

Matt is taking some time off beginning on Friday to start this big project, so be sure and check back.   I''m interested to see the outcome myself. Good luck Daddy!!
