We welcomed in Fall this weekend by doing a little decorating out front. This year, Lily Grace is just obsessed with scarecrows. She can often be found hugging or saying "hi" to any that she may see out and about. She was very excited to go and get her own to stand by the front door. Matt and I thought it was cute how much she adored this thing. Well, that is until he became a member of the family and we are forced to walk out and check on him often and even had to bring him inside the first night we had him. Lily goes out to greet him, adjust his hat and hug or reposition him at least once a day. She also request that you take her picture with Bob. That's right! He has a name. She named him Scarecrow Bob.
This weekend, we also took a trip to Hernando, MS to visit the pumpkin patch at Cedar HIll Farms. The weather was perfect! We had a wonderful time! Lily Grace loved the petting farm. She was able to feed goats, sheep, horses, turkeys, peacocks, cows, rabbits and a pig. We also enjoyed watching some pigs race and even got to ride a train and a horse. Lily Grace also enjoyed a parked train that had a bell. She would get so tickled at herself each time she rang it. There was a hay fort and a large playground which also made for some fun. We enjoyed a picnic by the pond and a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. With all of this going on, Lily Grace made sure to remind us that she needed to get Scarecrow Bob a pumpkin. And she did just that. Before visiting the large patch, we wandered over to the pie patch and as promised, retrieved a small pumpkin for Bob. She insisted on carrying it herself too!
It really was a wonderful day and a great way to spend time as a family. We made some great memories and can't wait to do it again next year.
Happy Fall Y'all!
