Party Day!

Lily Grace hosted a Halloween party today.  She had four friends from her gymnastics class over to celebrate Fall and all that it brings.  Lily Grace has been soooooo excited that all she has talked about is "party day."  She even woke up during the night last night and when I went in to check on her, guess what she had to say?
Her friends arrived in their costumes and the giggles began.  They were all as cute as could be.  They enjoyed decorating a pumpkin and making their very own scarecrow.  A snack followed and the yummy choices were numerous.  Once tummys were full, costumes were traded for play clothes and off they went.  They had a great time playing dress up and numerous other things.
Darby, who had been upstairs for the party, was asked to make an appearance by and so she did.  After being let out in the backyard, she found herself in heaven with five playmates.  Darby has always loved kids and today was no different.  She too had fun on party day.
Thanks so much to all our guest and for all the yummy food.  We had a great time and can't wait to do it again!  After all, who doesn't enjoy a "party day?"

Big News

choices, choices, choices

Just as the pediatrician and friends said it would, it just clicked.  Lily Grace decided it was time to use the potty.  We have given up the diapers for big girl panties.  (Elmo being the panty of choice)  She is so proud of herself.  She can often be heard shouting "potty, potty" and off she goes to the bathroom.  I was nervous about our first day out in big girl panties,  but she acted like a pro.  In the middle of dancing and singing at music class, she told me she had to go potty and acted as if we had done it a hundred times.  Getting one M&M after a  successful trip to the potty never hurts either.  And getting to choose which pair of panties to wear is equally exciting to her.
Matt and I are so proud of her.  I can't believe I'm about to say this, but a part of me misses changing her little diapers.  Not to worry though, when I'm missing those diaper days, I'm sure she will have an accident or two along the way to remind me of what it was like.  She is still learning and at the same time becoming our big girl.

Apple Orchard

This morning Lily Grace visited a local apple orchard.  She was joined by her good friends Claire and her big brother Jesse.  The girls were giggles as usual and of course cute!  We all had a great time!
