Sunday Best

Ode to Darby...
This morning, Lily Grace wore her "Darby Dress" to church for the first time. I just couldn't resist an adorable shot of them together.

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch today. The air was very chilly and definitely reminded you that Fall had arrived.
Bundled and filled with excitement, Lily Grace set out and accomplished her number one goal at the patch, to ride the horse. This was quite the big deal to her. Last year she got on and immediately wanted off. This year, she was determined to ride all on her own. Well, she did just that and wore a huge smile the whole time.
We also enjoyed a picnic, petting and feeding the animals and a train ride. Lily Grace and daddy also enjoyed walking the hay maze.
Now that the perfect pumpkin has been selected, it's time to carve. I can't wait to hear Lily Grace's thoughts on what our Jack-o-Lantern's face should look like. Her imagination knows no boundaries and she has thoughts on just about everything. She's 3 remember? And I will definitely enjoy watching the pressure that puts on daddy.

Welcome Fall

We have certainly been enjoying the cool breezes of Fall. Who doesn't want to be outside when the weather is as lovely as it has been?
Last week Lily Grace and I joined friends (a wagon full to be exact) for a day at the zoo. Daddy joined us back there on Saturday for the opening of a new exhibit. We had so much fun both times!
Lily Grace and I enjoyed a little craft time outside on the patio. She made an adorable little owl, which has since left the tree branch and now proudly adorns her bedroom door. She is really starting to embrace the concept of "her room" and it's too cute. She has many thoughts on what goes in there and what doesn't. (Sorry Darby-ha!)
I have welcomed Fall with a bounty of sewing projects. Who knew corduroy came in so many cute prints? I love this stuff! This little jumper is made with one of my favorite corduroy prints.
Daddy is also loving the arrival of Fall. He is down to mowing every two weeks. It's those little things isn't it daddy?
Hope wherever you are, you are enjoying Fall as well.
